LENTEN FAST & ABSTINENCE GUIDELINES FASTING: Obligatory on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday for persons 18 to 59 years of age. When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal. Two smaller meals may also be taken, but not to equal a full meal. It prohibits eating between meals. ABSTINENCE: Obligatory for persons 14 years of age and older. No meat is permitted on Ash Wednesday, all Fridays during Lent, and Good Friday.
LENTEN FISH FRY The Fish Fry will begin on February 26th and run every Friday thru March 26th from 5-7 pm. Volunteer sign up sheets are in the Narthax, or you can contact Brian at email@example.com or 301-606-6679. Due to Covid-19 this years Fish Fry will be take out only.
FREE MEAL HELPING HANDS If you or someone you know is in need, free meals will be made available this Thursday March4th at Open Hands Community Food Pantry,1111 Industry Road, Lawrenceburg. Important Instructions: Meals will be served Drive Thru ONLY from 6:15-6:45pm or until
the meals are gone. Please stay in your car. Once you get to the head of the line, you will be asked how many meals you will need. An Open Hands worker will bring meals outside to a table. Meals can then be retrieved from the table after the worker has gone back in to the building.

KROGER REWARDS PROGRAM For several years, Kroger has offered a Community Rewards fundraising program which benefits St. Lawrence every time an “enrolled” Kroger Plus Card is scanned to buy groceries. In order for our parish to receive this Rewards money, you must apply online. If you have not enrolled, please follow these instructions:

3. Enter the requested information. 4. Click on “Find Organization.” Search by entering # 10581 or St. Lawrence.

FOOD PANTRY MINISTRIES would like your help! With the ongoing pandemic, the Hands Food Pantry is serving more people than ever. You can help your community by donating a non perishable food item that with be used to prepare nutritious meal for people in need. The list will change monthly and updated regularly. We would like to thank all of those that have donated to help keep the pantry stocked. HOMEBOUND MINISTRIES We are looking for about eight (or more) volunteers who will call fellow parishioners (name and numbers provided) over a two-week period. A script will be provided for these super volunteers to outline what to say. The responses will be returned to the Ministry team.
This mission is initiated by your fellow parishioners as we all miss each other and want us to reengage with each other. Short term and easy, plus you get to talk to folks and see how they are doing. DIAPER DRIVE St. Lawrence is sponsoring a Diaper Drive for the United Methodist Church Diaper Bank. Their service provides diapers, wipes, and rash ointment to between 40 and 50 Anderson County families twice a month. Please put any size diapers, wipes, or ointment (unopened packages only) in the box in the Narthex or drop off at the parish office. All items will be delivered to the United Methodist Church.
